ABOUT THE EVENT

Social Octane’s Golf Games is a first of its kind mash-up between a scramble play golf tournament, and 18 carefully selected field game challenges.  The combination of the two will not only test your team's golf prowess, but also the skill you didn’t even know you had! The best-combined score from the golf and field game points will be crowned Social Octane’s Golf Game Champion; until next year anyway...

GLEANNLOCH PINES GOLF CLUB

Gleannloch Pines is a semi-private 27-hole golf club open formerly known as Gleannloch Farms, the golf club is now owned and operated by Tour 18 Inc. (owners of Augusta Pines Golf Club) and now receives the same level of commitment and excellence as Augusta Pines.

GUIDELINES/ SUGGESTIONS

If you are sick and tired of the same old golf tournament? Then this tournament is for you! It will be filled with good times, entertainment, and a lot of laughs, but let’s not forget to keep the challenges competitive. We suggest building your team strategically to the skillset of each game.  Although the games are simple, you will have a huge advantage if you have an ex-Aggie backup quarterback for the long ball throw, a skilled hockey player for the hockey shoot, or a sniper veteran for the paintball target shoot. 

Hole Sponsors (Guidelines & Suggestions)

  • You must man and set up your own hole (this experience does not work without your interaction and participation) 

  • Make sure you give yourself enough time to set up, we suggest arriving at 7:30 am to start setting up.  

    • A golf cart will be provided to transport and set-up equipment at the hole

  • The more creative you get with your hole the more you will stick out for the branding and event video/pictures. 

    • Suggestions

      • Theme your area (Tiki bar, Game of Thrones, etc.)

      • Specialty drinks (margarita machine, shot ski, etc)

      • Company Swag 

  • You must bring:

    • 10’ x 10’ tent or 20' x 10'

    • 2 Folding chairs will be provided for you

    • 1 Table will be provided for you

    • A music speaker of some sort is suggested

    • If you need power, bring a small portable generator, and extension cords

    • Trash bags

    • Beverage cooler

  • All alcohol must be pre-ordered from the clubhouse prior to the event. We will be sending out all of the contact info for ordering your drinks and pricing this week!


Golf Teams (Guidelines & Suggestions)

  • Full team must be registered by 9:00 am

  • Must have a 4-person team (Reach out to us if you have open spots)

  • Please provide your golfer with your team flyer via text, email, or print out as they will present it to check-in.

  • Please explain the rules to your team, everyone needs to participate in at least 4 challenges to be eligible for the competition.

  • Stack your team to match the game challenge skill set.

  • Get creative

    • Create a funny team name

    • Bring a speaker

    • Themed outfits

GOLF GAME rules

  • 4 team best ball scramble

  • 1 person from each team will play the mini-game per hole.

  • Rules will be posted at the end of each hole with game description and rules, please listen to the hole volunteer running the game.

  • Alternate team members participating in each mini-game. Each player must play at least 4 games.

  • All players must play to be eligible for the championship.

  • Have fun and be competitive!
